Losing a Loved One When we lose someone we love, the pain feels overwhelming. Yet, God promises His comfort and presence in our sorrow. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." In these moments, cling to His love, which never fails. Though the loss feels permanent, we are reminded of the hope in Christ—that death is not the end. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die" (John 11:25). Take heart, for God walks with you through grief.
