John Beckwith III is a Texas first responder in law enforcement. He is a family man and Texas horseman. John also has experience as an entertainer and is a comedian. He is part of the Beckwith family led by John Beckwith Sr., an advocate of Civil Rights in the 1960s in Louisiana, who established the family owned funeral home in 1980. This Dallas based family establishment is the #1 African American family owned and operated funeral home in the southern United States, better known as the Golden Gate Funeral Home. In 2013, the Golden Gate Funeral Home was featured in TLC’s “Best Funeral Ever”.
