Brett Deacon is a clinical psychologist and distinguished academic who has been at the forefront of academia for over 15 years in the US and Australia. He has published over 100 articles and book chapters on topics ranging from critiques of the biomedical model to co-authoring the book Exposure Therapy for Anxiety: Principles and Practice. Brett is currently an Associate Professor of Psychology and the Conveener of the Clinical Psychology Program at the University of Melbourne. Before taking up this role in 2023, Brett worked in private practice here in Australia for several years.
