Matthew Dickerson is author of fiction including both medieval historic heroic romance and also fantasy literature. He has also published works of creative narrative non-fiction, especially in the nature writing, fly-fishing, and environmental and genres. And he has written books about fantasy literature, especially focusing on environmental and philosophical aspects of the writings of J.R.R.Tolkien and C.S.Lewis. He lives in Vermont and teaches at Middlebury College. He has also taught at numerous creative writing conferences and for more than a decade was director of the New England Young Writers Conference at Breadloaf.
