2019 recipient of the Rick Carone fellowship grant, Sonia Kupfer, MD, joined this week's episode to discuss the incredible work she is doing to help save lives at the University of Chicago medical center. After losing some of her own close family members to melanoma and colon cancer, Dr. Kupfer performs research towards: "Diagnosis and treatment of patients with genetic disorders such as hereditary gastrointestinal cancer syndromes and celiac disease."
