Listen "Episode 256 - Surviving Pancreatic Cancer with Charles Tucker"

Episode Synopsis

Charles Tucker of Baltimore, Maryland is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving 27 years for his country. After visiting a local winery with friends, Charles developed sudden symptoms which led to a series of tests and exams.

Doctors quickly discovered that Charles had pancreatic cancer. This sudden diagnosis called for 13 rounds of chemo in just a few months' time. Eventually, Charles underwent the Whipple operation to further treat his cancer.

After his surgery, Charles’s doctors suspected the cancer had spread to his liver and lungs, so Charles was then given 25 rounds of radiation followed by more rounds of chemo treatments to combat the spread of the cancer. Join us as Charles reflects on the challenges he faces throughout his journey and how his experience as a marine helps him get through this disease in this episode of the Project Purple Podcast.
