Emily Avery, 19, lost her arm two years ago in a car accident. She's used CrossFit as her "physical therapy," and just recently won the WheelWod Games' Upper Extremity: 1 Point of Contact first-place podium. This young athlete credits her friends, community and coach at The Pit for helping her learn to push through, to get stronger and - most importantly, she said - to enjoy it.
