Listen "18. Old Fashioned Writing - Simple Ideas!"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textCindy Young is joined by 9yo Quorra, who says even though she received scriptures when she was baptized, she doesn't read them very often. One reason is because they are hard to understand. She and Cindy read 1st Nephi 1:16, and use 3 techniques as they go: break it down into shorter phrases, define big words, and look for connecting words. As they do these things, they discover that what they're reading is actually pretty simple, it's just written in an old fashioned way.Support the showAnd if you've found this helpful, then please Subscribe, Follow, Like, Share, and leave a review. =o) YouTube Download Free Worksheets Sign Up for the Newsletter Instagram Facebook Don't forget the parable of the snowball: listening to someone else talk about the gospel is like having snowballs thrown at you. Reading the scriptures is like making your own snowball. Taking the time to search, ponder, and pray about what you've read is like rolling the snowball around and around so that it grows and grows. So don't just listen to me - please go read for yourself so your knowledge and testimony can grow and grow!!
