Listen "Proverbs 18:9 (Revealing & Redemption Episode 1)"
Episode Synopsis
Proverbs 18:9
One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys.
When Jesus was on earth, He needed workers. He needed people who would give their best to bring others into the Kingdom of God. He told His disciples to pray that God would send somebody to work. God hasn’t changed. Work is still a priority for Him. Nor have the needs of our world changed. Helpless, harassed people still need what God stored is us for them. But our human nature doesn’t appreciate God’s ways. We want results without the process. We seek promotion without responsibility. We desire pay without work. In order to participate in the creative power of the One who says, “I’ve given you the ability to produce, now work to see what you can do,” you must cease to be a reluctant worker. You must choose to work, even if no one is standing over you, giving you the work, and making sure that you do it. God expects us to understand our natural need to work. The Church, and the world at large, must recover God’s principle of work because there can be no greatness without work. We must accept the truth that we need to work because God worked and He created us to work.
