Episode Synopsis
The news of Texas covered today includes:Our Lone Star story of the day: Lubbock County Commissioner Cary Shaw points out what few have wanted to let voters know:via facebook: Today [Monday] we finished the budget. Is it as low as I would like, no but it is a good start. For all the hollering about budget cuts I want everyone to know just what is going on. The budget has grown over 80,000,000 dollars in the past 5 years. That is 80 million. We keep being told a growing county has to have more money. Well during this time 1 year population growth was 1.3 percent and 3 years it was 1.2 percent, and 1 year it is projected to drop a hundred or so. At the rate it was going 16 million average per year 6 more years it would have doubled what it was in 2020. This is not sustainable for the people in Lubbock county. The judge said it is a sad day for Lubbock county but I say it is a great day for Lubbock county residents.” [emphasis added]Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.Bob Albritton and other Texas A&M regents just will not stop pushing the Leftist agenda and reverse discrimination at A&M.
