In this fourth episode we talk with Isabelle Ryckbost, Secretary General of the European Sea Ports Organisation. In our conversation we discuss the relationship between ports and cities. The European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) is the principal interface between European seaports and the European institutions and its policy makers. ESPO represents the port authorities, port associations and port administrations of the seaports of 23 Member States of the European Union and Norway at EU political level. ESPO also has observer members in Iceland, Ukraine and Israel. To find more info about ESPO, go to www.espo.be PortXL is the 1st World Port & Maritime Accelerator for innovative start-ups and scale-ups that have the potential to disrupt the port and maritime industry. Since 2015, it has been running an annual acceleration program, matching large corporates belonging to the port ecosystem with start-ups whose solutions can tackle their challenges. In 2018 PortXL has expanded from Rotterdam to Antwerp and Singapore and in 2019 it has assisted the Italian port of Taranto with the development of their own innovation hub.
