Listen "Friday 31st week Ordinary Time Year B - Feast of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica. "
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textIn today's first reading, we are told in no uncertain terms that we are "God's building...God's temple...that the Spirit of God was living". This building & temple is sacred and it's foundation is Jesus Christ. And like Jesus in the gospel doing all He can to protect the dignity and sacredness of the Temple in Jerusalem, we too must do all we can to ensure the sacred Temple of God - our bodies are treated with respect and dignity. In today's reflection, Jesus' "anger" is explained not as a passion that is out of control but as a passion rooted in love of the sinner and a desire for them to repent and walk in the path of righteousness. Today, we pray for the grace and strength to cultivate holy and righteous anger that God desires us to have. We also pray for the serenity to discern the sinful and righteous so that our passion for God will be directed to achieving God's holy will. Amen.Support the show
