The 15th of September marked International Day of Democracy. The day is observed around the world annually to promote and uphold democratic principles, including respect for human rights. This year the day is celebrated amidst concerns around the Covid -19 pandemic laws adopted by many countries which some Human rights organisations call undemocratic.
