Julie Lucido, the founder of The FillerUp Shop, is a passionate environmentalist who is committed to reducing plastic waste in her community. After discovering that most plastic is not recycled, Julie spent months searching for household and body care products that are safe for the planet and do not come in a plastic container. Her search led her to open The FillerUp Shop, a refill shop that helps people in the community reduce their reliance on single-use plastic.
Julie holds a degree in Liberal Studies from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and spent over 18 years as an elementary school teacher. She also worked in sales and teacher training before founding The FillerUp Shop. When she's not working in the shop, Julie enjoys traveling, hiking, and reading.
Emma Lucido, the assistant manager at The FillerUp Shop, shares Julie's passion for the environment and sustainability. Emma has been working at The FillerUp Shop for over a year and hopes to become the manager one day. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree at Boise State and has experience in office administration and sales.
Emma enjoys learning about the many plant-based products sold in the shop and is always eager to share her knowledge with customers. In her free time, Emma likes to play, watch movies, journal, and cook.
