Listen "Reforesting Faith: The Trees of Scripture, Session 4"
Episode Synopsis
Pastor Carolyn Hetrick of Grace Lutheran Church, State College, PA leads the fourth of a five session Bible study on trees in Scripture and what they tell us about God, our place in creation and abundant life. This episode we examine the fig trees of both the Old and New Testaments as symbols of separation, sin and failure, but also possibility, prosperity, healing and peace. We share some fig trivia and may ruin your enjoyment of Fig Newtons. Next week is our final week where we will explore resurrection trees. music: Blue Dot Sessions, "Fig Tree", used with permission by Creative Commons, CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 andSidhartha Corsus, " Song for Peace" used with permission from Free Music ArchiveTo learn more about our ministries at Grace Lutheran Church, visit glcpa.org.
