Listen "Reflection: Perfectly Equipped"
Episode Synopsis
"When I doubt my own abilities, God has me right where he wants me. My faith is not to be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. To those who are called, that power is the word of the cross. Thank God, if my faith is in his power, I don’t need to worry about my own lack of eloquence or qualifications. I am assured that it is Jesus Christ who will sustain me, and that God who called me is faithful.
If I am trying to appear wise and capable in my own right, I had better give it up. “Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is folly with God. For it is written, ‘He catches the wise in their craftiness,’ and again, ‘The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.’ So let no one boast in men” (1 Cor. 3:18-21)."
