Listen "53. The Most Important Permission Slip You'll Ever Write"
Episode Synopsis
Do you feel like you know what’s needed to put into motion the changes you want for your work or life, but there are others whose buy-in you need? Are things pretty good but in your sight line you know they could be GREAT if only a few external circumstances could line up? I’ve seen it a lot with talented, hard working and intelligent leaders who think they need “this before they can do that.” Where “that” is another person’s permission to make the change in order to have what they want. So what if that wasn’t true? What if what you’re missing in your world could be as simple as you giving yourself permission to experience it? Now if giving yourself permission seems too simple to you, there’s a good chance you’re overcomplicating. It’s ok. A lot of talented, hard-working and intelligent leaders do. In today’s episode we’re taking a close look at why we wait for permission from others, why we don’t give it to ourselves and how to change that sooner than later.
