This Theology Thursday we look at 3 John 1:4. This verse jumped out to me about a year ago and I have been praying it for my kids ever since. Written by John about his spiritual children, commentaries agree that it is wonderful for Christian parents to desire this for their biological and adopted children as well.
Knowing that I can’t ultimately control whether or not my children choose to follow Jesus, I can do my best to present Jesus in the most truthful and authentic way possible and set the Holy Spirit up with soft hearts that desire the abundant life Jesus wants to live with us.
