Jessie Vernon, Program Manager at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research, discusses Pittsylvania County's 2022 ExperienceWorks program, which includes a summer internship component. Jessie explains some of the different components of the ExperienceWorks system, highlights the importance of work-based learning and exposure programs like these, and walks through this year's schedule. Approximately 30 students will have the opportunity to participate in paid summer internships. Many others will be able to utilize other programs, such as a local government camp and mock interview programs.
