Listen "The Drifter"
Episode Synopsis
This song is about a drifter who roles into ghost town where he sees shadows silhouette of people from a long time ago. He thinks that they are real and experiences an evening of southern hospitality that includes a bottle of bourbon whisky. It's when he wakes up in the morning that he thinks if it was all in his head....Were they just visions he had in that ghost town. The deeper meaning to the song is that we live in a world we think is real, formed by our experiences and influenced by the environment. However, there may come a time when we wake up to the reality as it really is. Life is formed around ghosts and sillouettes who can influence our behaviour. As Marcus Aurelius once words are opinions not facts....or in the modern era....wake up and taste the coffee.

Lyrics:
The tumbleweed roles down a dusty boardwalk
In a ghost town in New Mexico
Shadows silhouette in the evening sun
Of people from a long time ago
As the moon rises on the horizon
A drifter rides in. You could tell where he’s been
After days on the road feeling saddle sore
All he could think “I need a cool drink.
I need a good woman and more”.
There was southern hospitality he’d never seen before
They welcomed him into the local bar
With a bottle of bourbon and a home cooked meal
He felt like a movie star.
Soon the bottle was dry
His head rolled back, and he closed his eyes
Few have walked in the drifter’s shoes
He’d crossed many lines so many times
Life could be good to a few.
Well, the mist fell down on the old ghost town
As he closed his eyes and fell asleep
It’s more than in his head
It’s more than what he thought and said- skin deep
The drifter he woke on the morning sunrise
He turned and opened his eyes
Looking through the haze of an empty glass
He saw to his surprise
The bar was empty, not a soul in sight
He raised to his feet then looked down the street
He was on his own felt shivers to his bones
Was it all in his mind? Was it all in his head?
Were they visions he had in that ghost town?
