Episode Synopsis
This track follows the theme of this new album about a young mans experience of growing up in the mid 19th century in Ireland, seeing his brother leave home to find a new life in America. When they were young lads, he and his three brothers played at being nights of the round table. Each brother was given a name; the oldest Galahad. Hence the title of the track.

Lyrics:
Verse 1
I went down to the packet boat
And saw my brother come alive
It’s the first time in many months
Well he was only 25
With a cold and hardened reason
It’s hard when your deprived
But no matter what the season
We’re born strong to survive
Verse 2
I went down to the packet boat
The sails were furled up tight
The boat was moored up by the dock
And was leaving at midnight
My brother gave me what he had
with a photo of our deadbeat dad
and a note he signed with a flourish
and he called himself Galahad
Middle 8
So our lives can be intertwined
No matter where we are
You take my mind. You take my soul
You take my dreams and take control
But I know where my heart will lie
Just think about it a little while
We may not always see eye to eye
But we’re brother ‘till we die
Verse 3
It’s been a while since my brother sailed
He tool a part of me
He sent a note. One day it came
It’s what I hoped it would be
He settled down near Providence
Saved up all he had
Paid me for a single ticket
And signed it Galahad
Verse 4
So I went down to the packet boat
And queued up for my turn
Found a place below the deck
No thought that I’d return
Not feeling sad, with no regret
I felt that I was in his debt
With the little that I had
I thought of Galahad.
