The spiritual journey can be likened to one who is making a transition from one civilization to another. Since each civilization is governed by a set of wisdom, the one who will migrate from the worldly civilization to the heavenly civilization, i.e., the civilization of the Lord’s new church, must do so by knowledge. This is necessary because, we are coming from a place where we think materially about life to a place where we think spiritually about life. To successfully make the transition, we must give ourselves to devour the knowledge that constitutes the spiritual civilization. For without the awareness of the wisdom that governs this new civilisation, no one can be admitted into it.
In this message, “Striving For Mastery: Mastering Knowledge”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter expounds on the role of knowledge in striving for mastery. And that, if we will be part of the Lord’s new Church, we must be devourers of the knowledge that pertains to this new civilization. He goes on to show the progression knowledge goes through before transforming a person.
