Today's Scripture: Luke 20:1–8



In the early days of that first Holy Week, Jesus taught daily in the temple—and it wasn’t long before the religious elite confronted Him. Chief priests. Scribes. Elders. All asking one loaded question: “By what authority do you do these things?”



Jesus, with perfect wisdom, replied with a question of His own—one that exposed their hypocrisy: “Was the baptism of John from heaven or from man?”



They didn’t answer truthfully. They strategized. They discussed angles. They protected their status. Because they weren’t after truth—they were after control.



The Key Lessons: Truth needs no spin. When truth is in your heart, you don’t need to rehearse or calculate answers. If you find yourself always strategizing how to say something instead of just saying what is—pause and ask why.



Don’t answer attitudes. Jesus didn’t waste time explaining things to people who had no intention of listening.



Young leaders, take this to heart: Don’t spend your energy answering people who aren’t after truth.
