Coronavirus variants have been detected in seven out of Canada’s 10 provinces, and Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam acknowledges these more contagious variants could spur a resurgence of cases as restrictions are rolled back. If governments have to turn around and quickly bring down the hammer again, will the political cost be too great?
