So we got all the friends together on the group chat and I said  “(the police will find you)..just tell them, be honest and tell them what happened ….  if you don’t tell anyone and you try and keep it hidden, you’ re going to be guilty..if you give yourself in, then you’ll still be guilty, but  you’ll have the respect of knowing that you know that you messed up and you want  to tell someone”…so that made them realise and they told their mum  (Jack, 15 )

We celebrate inspirational stories and collaborate with creatives to challenge, affirm and inspire.  To mark #international mens day, our "Conversations With My Son" series celebrates the magic of family and leans into conversations around mental health and the impact of culture to our definition of family.  Jack and his Mum Vicky talk about the importance of open lines of communication with each other and how opportunities of counselling gave them the tools to communicate more effectively with each other.  For Jack especially, it has also given him the gift of empathy in supporting friends who are themselves struggling with their own mental health.
