Joseph Theis was born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland. He currently lives in Washington, DC, where he earned his law degree from The  Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. He is an avid reader and lifelong lover of the horror genre. His favorite horror authors are Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, and Stephen King.
