Episode Synopsis
In our 4th interview, we interview Mike Grimes. Mike Grimes was a pitcher for the Jesuit Rangers in 1983-86 and he was inducted into the Jesuit Dallas Sports Hall of Fame. After graduating from Jesuit, Mike Grimes was selected in the 20th round by the San Diego Padres, but he attended the University of Michigan. At Michigan, he was a three year starter with a record of 22-5, and he is the ninth winningest pitcher in program history. He was then drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the second round of the 1989 draft, competing in the minor league system 1989-1992. In 1992, he was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 1992 Expansion Draft. Now, he is a coach for the Jesuit Rangers baseball team.
