Listen "The History of Botanical Dying & Slow Fashion"
Episode Synopsis
It was an absolute treat to interview Abi Makepeace, founder of Makepeace Studio CIC. With her foundations set in film making and the pandemic demanding that she, like many others diversify. Abi indulged in her sewing skills. She soon realised that the level of mindfulness it brought was something we are all craving. And so became - Makepeace Studio CIC. On her journey so far Abi was lucky enough to cross paths with Welsh botanical dyer Margaret Redpath. Margaret was half of the founding couple that first launched the Wallis Woolen Mill in Lawrenny. Her creative explorations were in fact quite legendary for the time. Abi is now the barer of some carefully preserved botanical dye archives. Listen to episode six for the full story.
