Listen "35. Aging Well"
Episode Synopsis
Many of my clients are women in midlife, and most of them are working and/or taking care of children. Many of them are also dealing with issues involving aging parents, and that often leads to them worrying about their own aging. Aging has three dimensions to it: physical, cognitive, and emotional. Listen in as I discuss how that last one, emotional, is the only one that doesn't actually have a direct link to aging. We can't control physical and cognitive aging, but your emotional health is something that we can control. There is a weighty correlation between our emotional health and our relationships with other people, but we get to choose to think thoughts that best serve us. If you think loving thoughts, you're going to feel good because remember, how we feel results from what we think. Show Highlights the three different components of aging reminder that emotional health is not a personality trait why hoping for happiness backfires the correlation between emotional health and relationships the importance of thinking loving thoughts, including about yourself Resources Sheila's Website Email me: [email protected]
