Two years later, that intuition proved true; they have so much in common, including that neither one of them was ready for a serious relationship. He was getting over a long relationship after his divorce, and she was just starting this journey and didn’t really know what she wanted. So they chose to stay friends. They didn’t make a big announcement or consciously decided to stay friends- it just happened naturally. They understood that crossing the line into a romantic relationship could mean risking a deep and meaningful friendship, and they weren’t willing to lose that. Instead, they embraced the connection they had, allowing it to grow in a way that felt right for both of them, and it led them here…
