What are ADLs from the perspective of an Occupational Therapist? We hear about it but what are they really? In this his episode, we talk about 15 ADL activities and we sort out those that we can and cannot address if we are working in secondary, tertiary and quaternary care. We talk about the 9 specific ADLs that we can look into during the acute care and we highlight the 3 essential ADL tasks that a person needed to be safe with before we can consider them for discharge home. This talk is beneficial to all levels of Occupational Therapist from student to the professional leaders who needs a refresher talk about activities of daily living(ADL).
