Dr. Schaeffer is the author of multiple articles thathave appeared in various journals. He has served as a moderatorfor EyeTubeOD and has given several COPE-approvedpresentations. He is a Founding Member of the Intrepid EyeSociety, and is a member of the Alabama and American OptometricAssociation, American Academy of Optometry and the ContactLens and Cornea Section.
