He is a Diplomate in the American Academy of Optometry's Cornea, Contact Lens, and Refractive Technologies Section, a past President of the Scleral Lens Education Society, and a Fellow and board member of the Contact Lens Society of America. He is the developer of the Zenlens family of scleral lenses and is a consultant to Bausch and Lomb.
