In this episode, we’ll follow Josh Gates and Destination Truth as they explore the haunted Island of the Dolls located in the Xochimilco canals just south of Mexico City, Mexico. Legend has it that Don Julián Santana Barrera found a doll floating in the canal the day after a young girl drowned. He hung the doll in her memory. He believed the girl’s spirit haunted the island, so Barrera hung more dolls to appease her until over 4,000 dolls adorned the island. Did the creepy decorations work?
