In 2010, she received the Women Doing Good Award presented by Self Magazine and L’Oréal and appeared on the Today Show.  In 2019 she was awarded the Leader with Distinction Award by ONE (Organization of Nonprofit Executives) and was an Athena Finalist that same year. Lisa has a BA in Human Resource Management, has earned a designation in Grant Development & Proposal Writing as well as Fundraising & Sustainable Financial Management from ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy & Nonprofit.  In 2020 she attained Trainer status from the Arizona Adverse Childhood Experiences Consortium on the topic of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
