Peter started in the decorative concrete industry in 2006 after spending 3 years on Active duty Army in California.  He started off as a floor coating installer and helped grow that company into manufacturing and distribution. The company's owner sold it to Rustoleum in 2012 and after that, Pete started his own contracting business traveling around the upper midwest installing decorative concrete. During that time Peter helped a friend of his start a floor coatings distribution business and in 2015 ended his own company to work for his friend full time. From 2105 to 2020, they grew that company to approx 20 million per year.So, in July of 2020 his wife (Malisa) and him started Valence Protective Coatings.
