Listen "New York Giants seek 2-0 start in home opener vs the Carolina Panthers"
Episode Synopsis
It is time for the week 2 game preview! Shaun Morash and Paul Dottino are to take a look at the Giants home opener, one that could shockingly end with the Giants at 2-0!
Of course, no season can be perfect, and as Aaron Robinson goes down following appendectomy surgery, it leaves the fluid secondary in a further state of flux. Paul offers a surprising idea that it could in fact be rookie Cordale Flott that is called into action on the outside. In looking at the overall matchup with Carolina, the secondary will be a key focal point as the Panthers certainly have a more dynamic set of playmakers.
Not to bury the lead, but Christian McCaffrey is going to be a problem. The Giants cannot anticipate another 14 touch day for the dual-threat back and it leaves Shaun examining the LB core for Big Blue and how Wink Martindale will adjust his scheme.
Much was made about Kadarius Toney and his minimal role in week one. Not only did the second-year wideout handle the media-bait with class, Paul also sees him as impact player on Sunday in East Rutherford.
Shaun nearly lost his voice in celebration of the surprising week one victory for Big Blue. Both called for that upset, but will they see eye-to-eye as the Giants look to give the fans a victory at home?
