Episode Synopsis
Thank you for joining me for episode 8 of Once upon a Startup
I am your host- Attorney / IP professional and Start-up Founder Shalini Menezes.
I am passionate about intellectual property – especially patents. My start-up patented. Network deals with the Valuation, monetization, and commercialization of patents.
As a founder, I have a zillion questions popping up in my mind each day and when I spoke to other founders, it seemed like we were all in the same boat.
We have questions. Investors, Other experienced founders, and mentors have the answers.
It is my hope to collect questions from founders and get answers from others who are farther along on the journey.
With a Ph.D. in Clinical Neuroscience, Ricky specializes in understanding the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration (ALS).
After struggling for long periods with his mental health during his Ph.D., Ricky took time out to rest and recover. It was only after months of rest Ricky began applying for job positions and during an interview had the idea for a startup.
Months of planning later, Ricky founded Point Science Analytics - A Ph.D.-backed startup, Bespoke bullet point market intelligence reports on biotechs.
Ricky has the great ability to articulate in both the written and spoken word in all avenues of life. In his spare time, Ricky enjoys reading about Philosophy, Stoics, Buddhism, and neuroscience and has a keen interest in boxing, whiskies, and cigars.
Cultivating a strong mind is key to Ricky's belief and helping current servicing academics exit academia is why AcademicME was founded. Ricky takes 1-1 calls to help academics better understand how they can use KaaS to exit academia. Along with helping life science prospective postgraduates better understand Ph.D. life./ in vitro molecular techniques.
