Today we continue our Fruit of the Spirit study, by taking one characteristic at a time & going in depth on what it looks like to live out that aspect intentionally. And this week, we chat all about JOY! 
First off, joy is more than happiness. As I have heard it described before, happiness happens to you. It is circumstantial and can change at the drop of a hat. In contrast to that, joy is everlasting. It isn’t dependent upon what is happening around you or what circumstance you find yourself in. Joy is rooted in what God has done & what He has promised that He will do. & Joy isn’t always accompanied by a smile - I have found that joy is connected to the confidence that we have in God – when we fearlessly believe that what He says is true – then joy naturally flows from that posture of heart because we can’t help but know that He will provide.
