Julian Newby talks to Location supervisor Mandi Dillin. Dillin fell into the location business as young graduate looking for some kind of work in movies. She was invited to work briefly on the 2005 movie Fun with Dick And Jane as an assistant, and immediately got the bug. She has since worked as location manager, supervising location manager and ultimately executive producer, on a long list of productions including all seasons of the dystopian TV series Westworld with director Jonathan Nolan; the hit movie Inception with Jonathan’s brother Christopher; Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained; and coming right up to date, the hit TV series The Morning Show, starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell.
