We've depended on structures outside of ourselves to lead us to personal growth and freedom. Now, with the break down of the boundaries that kept them healthy they have failed. Religions have become political, politics have become religious, the economy has become nationalistic and zenphobic, and those we held up as the pinnacles of human ethics have become genocidal.
