It’s the toxicity of Rom-Coms for us! We love Rom-Coms just as much as the next person, especially the beloved stories we grew up with! So, of course we thought they’d be the perfect topic for this years Valentine’s Day episode. But, in typical Obsassed fashion, we threw in a little spice and decided to unravel all the toxic behavior, double standards, and gaslighting used as plot devices in these films. You can love this genre while also accepting the fact that 1) unsavory themes are prevalent in almost every story & 2) they portray love in a wildly unrealistic fashion. Listen as we somewhat, kind of, maybe, ruin these stories and characters for you! Hehe kidding!
