Listen "I Don't Feel Like I Belong In Church"
Episode Synopsis
Feeling like you don't belong is one of the most common and most painful reasons people stay away from church. Maybe you've walked through the doors and thought, "Everyone here has their life together but me." Or maybe you've felt out of place because of your past, your age, your family situation, or simply because you're still figuring faith out. In this episode, Jen and Chaney take an honest look at what it means to belong in the body of Christ, using 1 Corinthians 12:18 as their foundation: "But in fact, God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be." They remind us that God doesn't make mistakes. He intentionally designed each of us with a purpose and a place. The church isn't a club for the perfect; it's a home for the broken. Like the human body, every part is needed for the whole to function. When we compare ourselves to others, we forget that our unique gifts fill a gap no one else can. Belonging isn't about fitting in, it's about stepping in. This episode encourages listeners to stop waiting to feel ready, to stop believing the lie that they're not needed, and to take that first step toward community. Because when you show up with flaws, fears, and all you'll discover that you've belonged all along. If you've ever struggled to feel like you fit in at church, we'd love to hear your story in the comments below. Your experience might help someone else find their place too!
