Listen "027: James Cone"
Episode Synopsis
In this week's episode we do a deep dive on Dr. James Cone who is considered to be the father of "black liberation theology". Scott spent all year reading his books and learned so much! Dr. Cone passed away this year so it seems like a perfect time to reflect on his life and legacy. We invited a special guest, Tali Hariston, to come by and talk to us about the impact James Cone has has had on the church and the black community. Tali has been the head of the Dr. John Perkins center for Racial Reconciliation for over 15 years and now works for the Seattle Presbytery. He also works as a consultant with churches across the county helping congregations understand how to meet the needs and concerns of the younger generation. We packed a lot into this episode and we hope you enjoy!
