Listen "Round Table | Dealing with Temptation"
Episode Synopsis
How do you deal with temptation? Temptation itself is not sin. How do we live in the reality of temptation, but not yield to it?We must be sober-minded. Our flesh is tempted to sin against the holiness of God. Temptation promises temporary satisfaction that is followed by immediate regret and shame. It’s not worth it!Don’t focus on habits. Temptation is a desire-level issue. Don’t try to “get more motivated.” Our desires need to be renewed by Jesus. Only after that will we be able to chisel in some healthy habits.Pray for faith. Ask God to give you practical wisdom in the moment. God’s desire is to make you more like Jesus. He has enabled us to live according to His will and fight human passions.Conversation with Snowbird directors:Brody HollowayZach MabryRob ContiSpencer DavisResourcesRomans 7Galatians 5:16-17James 1:2-4P.S.
