Listen "Night of Champions (Mayor Glenn Jacobs and High School State Champions)"
Episode Synopsis
Guests: Athletes from Knox County that won a state championship in '22 or '23. Also Mayor Glenn Jacobs (AKA Kane)This week’s episode is pretty different from the rest of my podcasts, but it’s my second year doing a show from this event. Knox County’s Mayor is Glenn Jacobs…if you’re a wrestling fan, you probably know him as KANE. Well the past two years, he has hosted an event called the Mayor’s Night of Champions where he celebrates all of the state champions from Knox county in Knoxville TN…and we had a lot of them this year. The event was held at the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, and the Mayor invited me to come and interview a lot of the kids that were there. On this episode, you’ll hear my short interview with the Mayor about his sports history and you’ll hear from athletes that won a state title in ’22 or ’23 for:Halls Wrestling, West Football, Catholic Women’s Basketball, Catholic Women’s Tennis, CAK Track, Farragut Cross Country, Fulton Basketball, and South Doyle Track…This podcast is sponsored by D1 Training.
