Guests: Mike Meyer & Laban DeFriese (865 Alliance coaches)Last summer was a big one for soccer fans in East TN, and this one will be even bigger, if LOCAL flavor is what you like. This summer, we’ve got a new NPSL team…which is basically parallel to the USL 2…and this team features almost all local players. Kids from Hardin Valley, Farragut, Maryville, Alcoa, Bearden and so on. It’s the new 865 Alliance, which will be the NPSL and WPSL clubs associated with FC Alliance in East TN. We work a lot with their athletes, so I really wanted to have the coaches on to just talk about what fans can expect from this upcoming season…and what their experience has been like so far in this process. It was a pretty fun interview, actually.
