How powerful is the tongue? So strong that James warns early Christians to refrain from having everyone become teachers so that they will not face a stricter judgment. The tongue is such a small part of the body but it cannot be tamed by anyone. The best that we can hope to do is to direct our speech to bless and not curse. Listen and learn why the tongue is a world of iniquity if we choose not to use this member of our body to the glory of God.
