DuEwa asks students, "What is one step you took to get to something that you love?" 
DuEwa reads an excerpt of her children's book Alice's Musical Debut, a story that reimagines one day in the early childhood of the late, notable jazz harpist, composer, pianist, and organized, Alice Coltrane (wife of jazz great John Coltrane). She also reads poems from her poetry collections including Check the Rhyme: An Anthology of Female Poets & Emcees (nominated for an NAACP Image Award) and Shedding Light From My Journeys (poem "Us Creative Women). Young reader participants shared their thoughts.
