T: Bueno, las metas de esta semana son 1) Describir celebraciones de los días festivos, ¿y en inglés ? A: Describe holiday celebrations T: 2) Hablar de tu familia y parientes, ¿y en inglés ? A: Talk about your family and relatives T: 3) Describir a personas, lugares y situaciones en el pasado, ¿y en inglés ? A: Describe people, places, and situations in the past T: 4) Hablar de como interactuan las personas, ¿y en inglés ? A: Talk about how people interact T: So, for starters, to get back to “how people interact”, we can get into some customary actions. What words would you like to know? A: I think I’d like to know how to ask for a hug. T: A hug? A: Yes, I’d like to ask someone to hug me. T: Use the reciprocal infinitive “abrazarse”. To ask someone to hug you, ask, “Me abrazas”? To say that two people hug each other, you can say, “Se abrazan.” Inténtalo, ask me to hug you. A: Me abrazas? T: Sí, claro. Be careful whom you ask for a hug, okay? Practicamos más vocabulario. “Besarse” means “to kiss one another”. A: Besarse – to kiss one another… ¿Se besan? T: Muy bien. They kiss. “Darse la mano” is how you say, “To shake hands with one another”. A: Darse la mano – to shake hands with one another, Se dan la mano? T: Si, se la dan. Despedirse is “say goodbye”. A: Despedirse is “say goodbye”. ¿Se despiden? T: Simón, muy bien. You remembered the stem change. “Saludarse” means “to greet”. A: “Saludarse” means “to greet”. “¿Se saludan?” T: ¡Magnífico! Two more for “manners and customs”, sonreir (to smile), which has a stem change, and “los modales”, which means “manners”. Te pregunto todos? A: Sí, listo!
